The amount of Dutch travellers who have booked their holiday vacations for 2019 has declined in December 2018. Also the amount of bookings in January were a bit disappointing. That’s why many parties have set up marketing campaigns to encourage the Dutch to book. One of the main reasons for this decline, is the good summer and autumn we had in 2018.
Results of ANVR/GfK showed that bookings in November 2018 were stable comparing to November 2017. Destinations like Turkey, Belgium and Germany are doing good. Bookings to North-America are gaining more popularity but bookings to Spain have declined a little. The ANVR expects that the amount of bookings will growth (and get on their old level) in the next months.
