In 2018, Corendon did research among 1,200 respondents. The research showed that the preferred temperature on a sunny holiday is between 26 and 30 degrees Celsius. Almost 70% of the respondents are not bothered by a little rain. 23.9% mentions that any amount of rainfall would not ruin the holiday. 45.5% do not think the holiday is ruined when there are two or more days of rain.
Corendon also researched what the goal is during a holiday. 42.6% of the Dutch go on holiday to relax. 20.1% of the respondents prefer a combination of relaxing and activities such as snorkeling or diving. When it rains, 40.3% do not change their plans when it rains. They just change into appropriate clothing. 47.2% try to go out but plan indoor activities. 12.5% change their plans and choose to stay inside the accommodation to relax, read or play games with their travel companions.
